Rachel began taking piano lessons when she was six years old. Her father was a medical Dr with a practice in the McAllen, Texas area. On the side, he was involved in missionary work inside Mexico and created orphanages there. Because of the long distances to reach them, he decided that an airplane would do the trick so he bought a Cessna 172 and had all of his kids take flying lessons. All of the children gained their pilots’ licenses and had a great time flying their dad and others into Mexico. She attended college and eventually moved to Victoria, Texas, employed by an aviation company. There she met her future husband, who was a corporate pilot. They married and moved to Houston where he continued his career flying jets for the oil industry. She has a great deal of experience in teaching students and assessing their weakness and strengths to fine the best methodology they can succeed with. Whether it be Suzuki, Faber, Alfreds, or any other other well renowned series, Rachel will be able share her years of experience in the proper techniques and sight reading.
