Mark started his musical journey at the age of 14 when he first picked up a guitar. In that moment, he knew he discovered his calling. He continued through High School, developing his skills, knowledge, and musicianship. During that time period, he performed in various in talent shows and events. He, then, discovered his singing abilities when he joined the Varsity Choral Choir. He sang competitively in Solo/Ensemble and All State Choir competitions.
Once Mark graduated, he started his formal musical training at Lone Star College-Montgomery. He studied classical guitar with Dr. Alejandro Montiel of the Texas Guitar Quartet and classical voice with Elizabeth Vickers. In addition to guitar and voice, he also studied the piano classically. He was a part of the Lone Star College Choir where he participated in many performances and traveled to Havana, Cuba in May 2016 as a vocalist and accompanying guitarist. Mark was also appointed vice president of the Guitar Club of Lone Star College. He is also a volunteer for Guitar Houston. In this volunteer group, he has met numerous world-renowned classical guitarists. He received his Associates of Arts with a Field of Study in Music in May of 2017.
Mark is currently studying Music Therapy at Sam Houston State University where he is developing his skills in using music to help people of various, wide ranging needs. Along with his classical background, Mark is able to teach all styles of music and genres. He has taken private lessons with idols such as Mark Tremonti of Creed/Alter Bridge/Tremonti and Javier Reyes from Animals As Leaders.
Mark is a passionate musician who wants to impart a knowledge, love, and dedication to music. He recognizes the power of music and strives to inspire others to become the greatest versions of themselves.
