Texas Teacher Certification: Provisional Life Certification in French
Linda is a fun and dynamic certified French Teacher. She was born in Texas, but has lived all over the U.S. and in the Far East as her father was a career Air Force officer. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and from the University of Houston with a Master of Education degree.
Linda has over 37 years of experience in public education. She taught in special education classes at the elementary level before moving to teaching high school. She was the lead French teacher at Klein Oak High School for 12 years. While there, Linda enjoyed teaching all levels of French – beginning through Advanced Placement. She also sponsored all French Club activities and trained, chaperoned, judged and supported students at the Texas State French Symposium.
Linda and her husband also accompanied students on tours of Europe for 7 summers. She believes that traveling to other countries and learning a second or third language is critical in today’s global society. Linda is still in love with French – “the most beautiful language in the world”. Her goal as a French teacher is to help motivate others and progress in their studies of French.
