Chris is a talented musician based in the greater Houston area. He has been playing the guitar since he was a very young boy. He began playing in the church at the age of 12 in which he truly discovered his passion for music. He has played in many churches and has played the role of Music Director in various houses of worship. He has performed in national shows such as “Rock The Bayou” and featured his work in many well known studio demos. His guitar work is used on Let’s Make A Deal, Baby Bash, and other national projects. Chris won first place in “Reach For the Stars: Houston” talent contest and Guitar Center’s “King of the Blues” guitar talent contest in Houston. Along with being a competitive guitarist, Chris’s passion for music bleeds into many other instruments. He plays bass, drums, piano, viola, ukulele, and almost anything he touches. Chris has been teaching for over fourteen years. His goal in teaching is to have his students exceed his own level of proficiency. His applied teaching style has been proven effective with students from ages 3 to 75 and with students with heavy onset learning disabilities. His joy and passion for teaching music is what drives Lessons On The Go as a company whole. The focus is always the student and instilling the love of music and education.
