School’s out! Now what?

With the hustle and bustle of May, families rush to create a solid finish to the school year. Finally, Summer has dawned upon us and your kids are so excited to start new adventures. Between scheduling summer camps and different activities, what’s next?

Here’s a list of free activities and events in The Woodlands each member of the family is sure to enjoy!

Market Street Spring Concert Series
Sit in the grass curled up on a blanket or bring your favorite lawn chair! The HEB Wine Walk will also be taking place so be sure to arrive early to claim a spot. This event will feature Jazz and R&B Saxophone by the David Caceres Quintet.

Matilda The Movie with Music by The Houston Symphony
Treat yourself to a concert and movie in one with the world premiere of Matilda: Film with Live Orchestra. Acclaimed actor, producer and director Danny DeVito will take the Main Stage to live narrate the film. Famed film composer David Newman will conduct the Houston Symphony in his dazzling musical score live and in sync with the cult classic film.

Bring your family to The Woodlands Mall for our Houston Family Magazine’s Summer Fun Fest that your family and the community can kick off Summer! Red, Hot, & Blue Festival
Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands at the 2016 19th Annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival with vendor booths, great food, children’s activities, and entertainment on multiple stages at Town Green Park and Waterway Square from 6 to 10 p.m. This community-wide celebration offers fun for all ages. The event culminates with one of the largest fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area with the 20+ minute Fireworks Extravaganza over The Woodlands Town Center.
